The Scarlet Amour Jewels of Passion collection has
been designed and handcrafted by talented Australian
jewellers and craftsman; with each functional and
stylish piece designed to incorporate all the qualities
of fine jewellery.
Scarlet Amour's designer and head craftsman Mr Colin
Burn has an interesting and comprehensive history
in silver smithing and metallurgy. Colin has combined
old world craftsmanship with the latest (CAD) Computer
Aided Design technology to create his fine jewellery
designs and quality motorised pieces. This method
offers a new level of precision jewellery design that
facilitates intricate design features, creates secure
stone settings and produces high quality mechanical
and internal workings. By finding the balance between
mechanics and aesthetics, Colin has created a variety
of unique products that have functional components
on the inside and exquisite designs that embellish
the surface.
Each Scarlet Amour jewellery piece is individually
hand finished and quality checked to ensure that each
and every piece maintains the superior standards of
workmanship and quality that Scarlet Amour clients
expect.
Materials
Jewels of Passion - Made to Order Designs
The order made pieces are individually created for
exclusive customers and are crafted from the finest
quality materials incorporating solid gold, diamonds,
semi-precious gemstones and Australian South Sea pearls.
These materials are sourced for their colour, clarity
and quality and are a stunning feature that enhance
the unique designs. The stones are set by experienced
jewellers to ensure the settings are secure and will
last a lifetime.
The white Australian South Sea Pearls that are featured
in this collection are unquestionably the rarest and
finest cultured pearl in the world. No other pearl
can equal its natural beauty and size. These high
grade Australian Pearls are of such quality they do
not require bleaching, tinting, dying or skinning.
Jewels of Passion - Designs on Demand
This collection of sensual jewellery for the boudoir
has been created as an affordable luxury item. The
unique jewellery designs are crafted from Sterling
silver and heavily layered in gold featuring cubic
zirconia’s and South Sea shell pearls. The materials
used in these designs have been carefully selected
to reduce the retail price without compromising on
the quality, unique design and visual appeal of each
piece.

follow our simple suggestions to maintain the quality
of your jewellery purchase. Scarlet Amour Pty Ltd
takes no responsibility should any Scarlet Amour product
be mistreated or not used as detailed in the care
instructions and recommendations outlined on this
website.
Caring for Gold
All Scarlet Amour pieces are crafted using precious
metals such as Gold, Platinum, Rhodium and Fine Silver.
Precious metals can be permanently marked by surface
scratches especially by those made by other jewels.
It is imperative that all Scarlet Amour pieces are
stored individually and away from other jewellery
items in a protected place to prevent any damage.
We suggest storing each piece in the case provided
or a soft pouch to protect them and prevent any damage
to the Gold finish.
Cleaning Gold
The standard jewellery procedures for cleaning gold
should not be used for any Scarlet Amour piece as
they may also contain precious stones and pearls that
require special care.
When cleaning fine jewellery pieces and intimate products
simply run under warm water using a mild soap and
a soft non abrasive cloth or your hand until the surface
is clean.
To dry the surface of the piece use a soft non abrasive
dry cloth and store appropriately.
Special care needs to be taken to ensure the quality
finish of the Scarlet Amour intimate products is maintained:
Never use a jewellery cleaning
cloth to clean or dry your product as it may contain
abrasive materials or chemicals.
Do not subject product to extreme
temperature conditions, such as hot or boiling water
or freezing.
Never disassemble or tamper
with the product to clean or for any other reason.
Do not drop or mishandle the product.
Always clean intimate products
thoroughly after each use.
Caring for Pearls
Australian South Sea pearls and South Sea Shell pearls
are used by Scarlet Amour jewellers and craftsman
in many of the jewellery designs.
For better pearl care, simply wipe your gems with
a soft dry cloth after every use. This will prevent
dirt from accumulating and keep perspiration, which
is slightly acidic, from eating away at the pearl
nacre.
Never use an ultrasonic cleaner.
Never use or expose pearls to dish or wash detergents,
bleaches, powdered cleansers, baking soda, or ammonia-based
cleaners.
Never use toothbrushes, scouring pads or abrasive
materials to clean pearls.
Do not expose pearls to extreme temperatures.
Never spray perfume or cologne directly onto a pearl.
Caring for Gemstones
Scarlet Amour designs incorporate the finest facet
and cabochon cutprecious and semi precious stones
selected for their flawless clarity and quality.
Gemstones can be permanently fractured or scratched
if they are dropped on a hard surface, mistreated
or stored next to other jewellery. By storing all
your jewellery pieces separately in soft pouches or
in jewellery boxes you will minimise surface damage
to your Scarlet Amour product and your other jewellery
items.
Caring for Diamonds
Because diamonds can easily scratch other jewellery,
even other diamonds, the best single piece of advice
is to keep your diamond jewellery in the case provided,
a fabric lined jewellery case with dividers, or a
soft pouch to protect them and prevent surface damage.
When not cleaned properly the settings of your diamonds
can pit and discolour. Oils, lotions, powders, soaps
and even your natural skin oils can put a film on
diamonds that cut down their brilliance. But this
can be easily fixed. Simply clean and polish your
diamonds with a soft damp cloth regularly.
Intimate Product Recommendations
The Jewels of Passion intimate jewellery items are
made from precious metals and are generally inflexible,
please use with caution.
Always use a good quality, water
based lubricant.
Never use on sore or inflamed
areas.
Never use alcohol or any other
solvent to clean the product.
Keep oils away from feathers and hair features as
it may compromise the appearance of the delicate materials
or be difficult to clean.
Motorised Product Care Recommendations
We recommend that all Scarlet Amour products are refurbished
annually by our experienced craftsman who will verify
that the jewellery settings and gold finish are secure
and well maintained. When you leave your jewellery
with us we will check its condition and advise you
of any repairs and cost that may be necessary to restore
its full beauty and value.
Remove batteries between each
use.
Replace batteries inserting
positive end first.
Do not subject to extreme temperature
conditions such as hot or boiling water or freezing.
Do not use product for extended
periods of time.
Do not place near heat or open
flames.
Always test product temperature
before use to avoid injury or discomfort.
Never fully immerse the product
in water.
Never disassemble or tamper
with the product in any way.
Warranty
Scarlet Amour guarentees the quality workmanship of
every product we manufacture. We believe that by continually
treating our products with proper care they will last
a lifetime.All warranties are subject to Scarlet
Amour being satisfied that a defect was caused by
defective workmanship or materials and was not caused
by or was not substantially contributed to by factors
beyond our control.
Jewels of Passion - Made to Order
The products in the collection carry a 5 year warranty
on the quality gold finish and product workmanship,
as well as a 12 month mechanical warranty on the motor.
Jewels of Passion - Designs on Demand
This collection is covered by a 12 month warranty
on the quality gold finish and product workmanship.
Please be aware that Scarlet Amour take no responsibility
should the product be, mistreated, mishandled or misused.
Abrasions, scratches or surface damage due to wear
and tear is not covered under warranty however may
be repaired at a reasonable charge.
Scarlet Amour products may not be returned unless
they are defective and no ‘change of mind’ policy
applies for any purchase.
In the unlikely event that a Scarlet Amour jewellery
item is received in a damaged condition or is faulty;
return and exchange can be discussed and negotiated
with a Scarlet Amour customer service representative.
All defective items must be returned within 7 days
of receipt for a credit, exchange, or replacement.
Shipping charges will only be refunded in cases where
our error caused the return or the item is defective.
If during the warranty period your product encounters
a manufacturing or workmanship fault, please contact
usimmediately to discuss repair and return.
IMPORTANT:
The original receipt or tax invoice must accompany
all warranty claims to provide a starting date of
warranty period.
Refurbishment
As Scarlet Amour products are designed to last a lifetime,
we have a refurbishment service available for all
our motorised Jewels of Passion items at a minimal
cost. This service involves a complete quality check,
product appraisal, professional polish and clean,
as well as the replacement of the internal motor should
it fail outside the 12 month mechanical warranty period.
